Bio
Two worlds, one sound.
A blend of catchy melodies and swung electronic rhythms — woven from analog synthesizers, ambient guitars, ethereal vocals, and punchy drums.
The project is the shared outlet of Omar Abdelhady and Majid Serageldin — longtime friends and bandmates from the post-rock / alternative group The Chicken Came First. After the COVID break, the two began performing as Nomarch in the summer of 2022, channelling their alternative roots into something more electronic.
They released their first single, “Light,” with Memphis Records in 2023, followed by “Split” in 2024 and “Face Me” via Wall of Sound in August 2024.

Setup
Nomarch perform as a two-piece. Omar handles guitars, vocals, synths, bass, electronic drum pad, and drum machine, running to a click; Majid covers acoustic drums as well as electronic drums..
Synthesizers sit on two keyboard stands, with output routed to the house mixer and monitoring via in-ear bodypacks. A full stage diagram is available on request.
